The Roade House, through Chris and Sue was opened in 1983, and was quickly noted as offering "the finest cuisine in the area." Today the Roade House Hotel and Restaurant is the perfect venue for pleasure, for business, for a special occasion or for no particular reason at all - to enjoy quality food, wine and atmosphere in the newly refurbished Roade House, we look forward to welcoming customers both existing and new.
The award winning Roade House restaurant has been featuring with in the Good Food Guide consistently since 1985, the AA has recognise the Roade House with an AA rosette for 'serving outstanding cruisine'
The Roade House has also featured in numerous regional and national publications, such as The Times, The Telegraph and The Independent, to name but a few.
Husband and wife team Chris and Sue Kewley have owned the Roade House Restaurant and Hotel since October 1983. The building was originally the local village pub, The White Hart before it was converted into a restaurant. In 1997 Roade House incorporated an adjoining cottage to create 10 guest bedrooms. Sue runs front of house and Chris is in charge of the kitchen.
